Thus I have good reason to assume that the two posts came up independently:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Andrew Gelman\u2019s Blog: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stat.columbia.edu\/~cook\/movabletype\/archives\/2009\/04\/whats_better_th.html\">What\u2019s better than R for exploratory data plots?<\/a>\n<li>Robert Kosara\u2019s EagerEyes: <a href=\"http:\/\/eagereyes.org\/blog\/2009\/where-are-the-visualization-tools.html\">Where are the Visualization Tools?<\/a>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both are looking for good \u201cout of the box\u201d visualization tools, or a tool for exploratory data plots &#8211; I don\u2019t see a difference here as long as you aim at data analysis with graphical tools.<\/p>\n<p>Any further tools or thoughts?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As I know from past experience, statisticians usually don\u2019t read what computer scientists do and vice versa.
